At the Early Learning Center for Research and Practice, we know that meaningful professional development experiences are critical to our growth as educators and leaders. In 2015, we launched the Early Learning Institute to offer an intimate, focused, and engaging context for exploring ideas surrounding nature-based learning. Shortly after that, we began offering study tours for educators and administrators to get an in-depth look at the Early Learning Center through in-classroom observations and sessions tailored to meet the needs and interests of the participants. It has been five years of growth and development for us as providers of meaningful, customized professional development and we are grateful for those that have included the Early Learning Center for Research and Practice in their professional development plans.
For the past year we have had the pleasure of working with several centers in their own context via on-site trainings and consulting. We are thrilled to begin offering this service widely and aim to bring the same intentionality to this work as we do with study tours, our summer conference, and professional development experiences for our own staff.
